In contrast to our treatment of the power reserve indicator in the “Golden Mirrors” series, we rendered a full “half moon” power reserve indicator in a warm red/ gold scheme. We rendered accenting text in a warm gold tone, replaced the standard “Futurematic” text with the art deco font found on the “Porthole” Futurematic, and lowered the text to balance the dial composition. We began by mixing a warm hue of chocolate brown, inspired by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute to 1931 Chocolat, before replacing the LeCoultre. Nobody could have imagined the impact that the striking Vianne (Juliette Binoche) would make when she arrived in a tranquil, old-fashioned French town.
